The mail carrier. (A.K.A. Mr. Postman)

Neil Postman's main purpose in his video and book was to show to the public on how much media and technology is relied upon. The mere name of the novel reveals the world of today.  He writes in his book how people do not care of old time values examples such as talking at the dinner table but how this ideal concept is being replaced with t.v. dinners and these crucial family bonding times are becoming scarce. Neil Postman's primary focus is that humans are slowly becoming pets to their technology.  He is trying to show the dependency of these devices by the modern world. Just like pets are dependent on their owners we are becoming to our technological world.
